We're back and....

...we're exhausted! We got back last night and took it easy today. A super fun trip indeed, but a week in Orlando, two days of travel, and 5 consecutive days of Disney is enough to wipe out a family...and I think it did! Ethan konked out at 7:30 tonight with a typical-and-to-be-expected-after-a-trip-fever and I think Chris and I will be headed to bed shortly.

Here are a few pics from our trip. While we were there, Ethan celebrated his fourth birthday (he is SO EXCITED to be FOUR!), Chris and I celebrated 6 years of marriage (that makes 16 total years of knowing each other!), and Chris' dad's birthday (it was also my dad's birthday, but he wasn't on the trip with us).

The pictures are in reverse order, but we'll have to live with it...taking the time to reverse them is not at all appealing!

A Pirate!

"I've been wanting this for a long time!"
(and by long time, he means one, maybe two days, max. It's a Buzz Lightyear shooter game)

Auntie Lisa couldn't bring a real globe (something he's been asking for), but this is a globe book. Obviously, still VERY exciting.

Reading his card from Mom and Dad

Very excited about Lightening "McFueen"

Meeting Woody and Buzz (out of all the Disney characters, he really only knows these two and the Cars characters, thanks to many a sick afternoon during my first trimester--"Toy Story" and "Cars" were a sick, pregnant mom's God-send!)

Funny dinosaur pear at Epcot Center

Epcot Center. We happened to hit the International Food and Wine Festival, where each country served up yummy cultural samplings. My favorite was the Creme Brulee au Lait from France, and Ethan and Chris liked the Escargot from France.

Ethan's favorite ride at the Magic Kingdom. The unofficial name is the "Buzz Lightyear Shooter Game"

A big thorny leaf at Animal Kingdom that Ethan "always wanted to remember"

Blasted from a rocket while waiting to meet Woody and Buzz

Our wonderful family--Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Lisa. Auntie Lisa left notes and gifts for Ethan each day of our trip, each signed with love from Mickey and Friends. How fun!

You know it!
Believe me, I needed it. If you were me, you'd understand....

Delight Yourself in the LORD

(front of face, belly, and arm/hand by head on both girls)

"Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:3-5

Can I get an "AMEN!!"

Dells and Peanuts

Here's an email I just received from my friend, Sarah, who was watching Ethan for us this morning:
I forgot to tell you a funny story.
In the car Ethan was telling us about your dogs. I asked him what kind of dogs they were. He said, "They are dells."
I had never heard of a breed called Dell...so I asked him again.
He said, "They are dells, they do not have peanuts."

Then I got it!! So funny.

So......

We had our anatomy scan this morning, and I'm thrilled to announce that we are pregnant with two "dells"; the sonographer did not find any "peanuts" :)
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joke

We were sitting at dinner tonight, and while Chris and I were engaged in a conversation, Ethan suddenly busts into laughter.

"What are you giggling about?"

(giggling so much I could hardly understand him...)..."I was just thinking about that!"

"What?"

"When the sun is sick, he doesn't feel so hot! Ha,ha,ha,ha,!"

Chris and I thought that was hilarious. Does he really get the play on words? I doubt it, but we still thought it was pretty clever (even if he was just repeating a line from Little Bill).

Happy Fall!

I will refrain from finishing that phrase with "y'all"...although secretly I like the whole phrase together :)

Harvest decorations thanks to Daddy.

Green spider web thanks to Ethan.

Belly thanks to Jesus.
